ATM Carbon Reduction Initiative

Carbon Inventory Program

Taiwan's First Carbon Neutral ATM Service

E.SUN Bank’s ATM Service obtained the “ISO 14067:2018 Carbon Footprint Verification Statement” in 2022 and achieved the “PAS 2060:2014 Carbon Neutrality Declaration” again in 2023. Through the purchase of carbon credits generated from the Taoyuan Guanyin Wind Farm in Taiwan for carbon offsetting, and verified by SGS, a reputable third-party certification body, we proudly announce our achievement in carbon neutrality. E.SUN Bank becomes the first financial institution in Taiwan to receive dual international certifications for providing carbon-neutral ATM services.

Introduction to Carbon Label and Carbon Neutrality

Introduction to PAS 2060:2014 Carbon Neutrality
E.SUN Bank’s ATM Service, through a comprehensive Cradle-to-Grave carbon footprint calculation that encompasses every stage from raw materials to services to disposal, has diligently measured its carbon footprint. Through the purchase of carbon credits generated from the Taoyuan Guanyin Wind Farm in Taiwan for carbon offsetting, and verified by the reputable third-party certification body SGS, we proudly declare our achievement in carbon neutrality. As a result, every transaction made by our customers at E.SUN ATMs, including the carbon emissions generated from the beginning of the transaction, cash supply and replenishment, and the disposal of receipts, has been effectively offset and neutralized.

Carbon Label
The Carbon Label, also known as the Carbon Footprint Label or Carbon Emission Label, is a marking method used to display the carbon emissions of a product or service. It indicates the total greenhouse gas emissions, converted into carbon dioxide equivalents, generated throughout the entire life cycle of a product, including raw material acquisition, factory production, distribution and sales, consumer use, and final disposal.
