Step1：Insert your ATM card or debit card and enter your password.

Step2：Select "Other", and select " Automatic Debit". After reading the Terms and Conditions, select "Confirm".

Application Process for eDDA Electronic Authorization (Online Banking Dual-Factor Verification/Cardless Payment) for Credit Card Payments from Other Bank Accounts

Step 1：Identity Verification

Log in to theeDDA electronic authorization service. Enter your verification information and complete the OTP (SMS verification code) verification.

Step 2：Set Payment Method

Select the payment bank and payment method (minimum payable amount or total payable amount).

Step 3：Verify with Authorizing Bank

The system will automatically redirect you to the verification page of your selected payment bank. Please follow the instructions to log in to your online banking.

Step 4：Select Payment Account

On the authorized bank page, select the deposit account under your name for which you wish to set up automatic payment.

Step 5：Complete Bank Verification

According to the authorized bank's regulations, enter the OTP (SMS verification code) verification or complete the relevant identity verification procedures.

Step 6：Confirm Authorization Result

After verification, the screen will display a "Authorization Successful" message.

Step 7：Complete Application

After completing the authorized bank verification and authorization procedures, the application is submitted. We will notify you of the application result via SMS after processing.

1. How long will Automatic Debit from E.SUN Bank Account service be effective after application?

2. How to make sure the application is successful?

You will receive a text message after the automatic debit service is effective, and your account number and date of payments will be displayed in the reconciliation statement after it takes effect.

3. Is service fee needed to apply for Automatic Debit ?

There are no service fees for Automatic Debit Service.

4. Will double payments occur if I pay the credit card bill before automatic debit date?

Please pay your credit card bill 3 business day before the payment due date to prevent double payment.

5. If the bank account used for Automatic Debit is not in my name, can I still apply for automatic debit?

Yes. You can use an account that is not in your name for automatic debit, but you need to submit a paper application. Please download the E.SUN Credit Card Automatic Debit Authorization, fill the document and indicate the account name, ID number of the account holder, and original authorized seal used to open the account, and send your application. As for Business Bank Account, only the credit card bill of the responsible person for the corporate or the certain business credit card bill can be debited from the Business Bank Account.
※Digital Account Customers who apply for Automatic Debit of others’ credit card bill, firstly complete authentication at any E.SUN branch with two identification documents.

6. When will the Automatic Debit occur ?

If your Automatic Debit Account for credit card bill are E.SUN Bank Account , automatic debit will be made on the payment due date with agreed payment. As for Automatic Debit from External Bank Account, please transfer fund into your external account 1 day before the payment due date.
※Please note that if there are other agreed withholding fees in the withholding account on the deduction date, such as insurance premiums, securities delivery payments, public utility expenses, etc., please deposit sufficient funds to facilitate the deduction.

7. What should I do if there weren't enough funds in my account and Automatic Debit failed ?

If the automatic deduction of the agreed account fails, you can use other payment methods, see strategy for details.
※ If you don't have enough available funds in your E.SUN Bank Account, three consecutive automatic debit attempts will be made (in three business days), and your account's balance will be debited to NT$0.
If you don't have enough available funds in your External Bank Account, the automatic debit will only be made once on the payment due date, and will not attempt further debit.

8. What should I do if I want to change or cancel Automatic Debit?

As for External Bank Account, please download the "E.SUN Credit Card Automatic Debit Authorization" and send the application.

9. Which banks accept eDDA?

According to the list of cooperating financial institutions announced by the Taiwan Clearing House. Additionally, your chosen bank must provide online banking two-factor authentication (cardless) service to complete the online authorization application via eDDA.

10. What do I need to prepare before using my bank account to authorize automatic deduction of credit card fees via eDDA?

Please confirm the following:

1. You have activated the online banking service of the bank you are using for deduction.

2. Your mobile phone can receive SMS passwords normally (the verification code will be sent to the mobile phone number you registered with the authorizing bank).

11. What are the conditions for applying for automatic credit card deduction via eDDA? Can supplementary cardholders apply?

Only primary cardholders can apply using their own bank account. Corporate accounts, legal entity accounts, and supplementary cardholders are not eligible.

Example: If the credit card is issued to Mr. Wang, the authorized deduction must be made using a bank account under Mr. Wang's name; an account belonging to his spouse or family member cannot be used.

12. When will the eDDA electronic authorization service take effect after application?

Approximately 2 to 5 business days for review and setup. We will send you an SMS notification upon activation.

13. Do I still need to fill out a paper authorization form after completing the eDDA electronic authorization?

No. eDDA is a fully online authorization; it takes effect immediately upon successful application, and no paper authorization form is required.

14. What if eDDA application verification fails?

Please ensure that you have activated your bank's online banking for deductions and that your mobile phone can receive OTP (SMS verification code) functionality, or apply by filling out an automatic deduction authorization form (approximately 30 business days to take effect).

15. What should I do if my account number or password is locked when logging into the authorized deduction bank's online banking for eDDA?

If your account or password is locked due to multiple incorrect entries, please contact the bank that owns the account to unlock it or reset your password; then you can reapply.
