Green Mortgage

"Green buildings"exist in harmony with nature, save energy and reduce waste. Let's make our world a greener place!

What are green buildings?

  • A"green building" consumes the least amount of Earth's resources and generates the least amount of waste during the building life cycle, and is aligned with the concept of "ecology, energy saving, waste reduction, and health."
  • A building must meet the requirements of four indicators, including two mandatory indicators, which are "daily energy saving"and "water resource", and two others, in order to acquire the "Green Building Labeling."

Levels of certification

Levels of certification from the lowest to the highest level are as follows: Qualified, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond.

  • Please check if your home is on the list or not!
  • If your home meets the requirements for the"Green Building Labeling"recognized by Taiwan Architecture and Building Center, you could enjoy a discount on service fees when you apply. If the Green Building Labeling is Bronze or above, the interest rate would start as low as 1.75%!

Tips for saving energy

  • It is appropriate to set the air conditioners at 26°C to 28°C; raise A/C setting by 1° can save 6% power.
  • Use fans with A/C to boost the cooling effect.
  • Avoid turning A/C on and off periodically as it would waste energy.

Clean the air filters every two weeks

  • Dirty filters make air conditioners work harder and consume more energy; thus, it is recommended to clean air filters every two weeks to increase cooling efficiency.

Use LED lights with the energy label

  • Using LED light bulbs with the energy label would reduce energy consumption by 50% and above, compared with conventional lights.
  • The use of light colors on the ceilings and walls could reflects light better, reducing the lighting requirements.
