- Credit Cards and Credit Limits
- Flexible Proof of Income: We accept tax withholding statements, salary slips, and deposit certificates from overseas financial institutions. Click here to check the required documents
- Credit Limits: We offer favorable credit limits, granting up to 22 times your average monthly income.
- Supplementary Cards: Relatives aged 15 and above are eligible to apply for supplementary credit cards without needing to provide additional proof of income.
- Flexible ID Updates: When your ARC (Alien Resident Certificate) expires, there is no need to visit the bank. Simply download the update application form from our official website and mail it to our branches.
- Family Member Accounts: If your family members need an account, they can simply bring their primary ID (like an ARC) and a secondary ID to the branch, and either be accompanied you or bring your account information. We can help you set up each other's accounts as 'designated accounts' for both New Taiwan Dollars and foreign currency. That way, you'll be able to instantly transfer money to each other online or through the mobile app whenever you need to!

How to Apply

- Second ID Document: Passport, Health Insurance Card, Driver’s License or Equivalent
※ To ensure you receive important notices from the bank, we require you to provide a Taiwan mailing address.
Procedures of Online Appointment for Account Opening
※ We recommend booking an appointment with our Neihu, NTU, Wenxin or Kaohsiung Branches for a comprehensive, one-stop account opening service.

How to Apply
When opening an account at any E.SUN branch, you can also apply for a Debit Card or Credit Card. You can also apply for E.SUN’s credit card without E.SUN’s bank accounts. ➜ Download Credit Card Application Form NowEligibility
- Primary credit card: Adults in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of China.
- Supplementary card: Applicants must be 15 years of age or older while sharing a kinship with the primary cardholders.
Required Documents for Credit Card Application
- Identity documents: Photocopy of Employment Gold Card and Passport ※ Document validity must be more than 6 months.
- Please provide one of the following financial documents:
- Domestic financial documents:Financial capacity - salary slip(in the past three months), payroll transfer/demand deposit passbook(containing the pages with your account number, account activities in the past three months), Tax Withholding Certificate/income statement (in the past year), time deposit certificate or official certificate of employment(Issued by a company duly registered with the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan).
- Non-domestic financial documents:overseas official certificate of deposit(Issued by a financial institution that is a member or associate member of the International Association of Deposit Insurers).
Things you should know:
- Passport and Employment Gold Card must be valid for more than six months.
- If the validity period of the above documents mentioned above is about to expire, please notify E.SUN Bank initiatively(30 days before the expiry date) and offer the latest documents. If not, E.SUN Bank will temporarily suspend cardholder’s credit card.
- A formal certificate of employment issued by a company duly registered with the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan is required. The documents you attach and the application form will not be returned to you, regardless of whether or not your credit card application is approved.
