Services

Reminder

  • E.SUN Bank offers a basic free roadside assistance service for self-owned passenger or cargo vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of less than 2.5 tons, a vehicle length of 5,200 mm or less (including exhaust pipes and bumpers), and a vehicle width of 2,000 mm or less (with the rearview mirrors folded). In addition, the vehicle must be in a state where the gear can be shifted to neutral and the steering wheel can move before it can be towed directly. If the vehicle is damaged or the fault condition is not the same, the roadside assistance provider may need to cooperate with special operations to process the case. In this case, the roadside assistance service will be implemented only after the quotation is given and the customer who requests the roadside assistance service agrees.

Automobile towing

  • General surface streets: When a car refuses to travel due to breakdown or an incident, two-wheel car towing from the incident location to a serving center is free of charge for the first 50km, and is charged NT$60 per km thereafter. If an incident location is away from surface streets and cannot be accessed by rescue vehicles (e.g., the field, beach, riverbed, woodland, snowfield, swamp, valley, and parking facility not on the first floor), or requires a large crane or special machinery, such roadside assistance service is considered “special operation”, which requires on-site bargaining and must be paid for by a cardholder.
  • Freeways / expressways: Starting from January 1, 2020, the Freeway Bureau launched the rates for towing of low-slung cars or luxurious cars on freeways / expressways. E.SUN members enjoy a minimum towing charge of NT$1,500 for the first 50 km, and must bear additional charge for the distance in excess of 50 km (For details, see Freeway Services). In addition, regardless of whether it is necessary to use the flatbed towing service,

Jump start

  • Jump start service can be provided on-site free of charge in case a car refuses to start due to low battery power. However, if giving a jump start will affect a car’s electronic instruments or is considered an improper option (i.e., when the batter is damaged), the car will be towed under assistance to a serving center or an electromechanical service and left with the cardholder.
  • This service excludes diesel cars - because a diesel car requires larger cranking amperage to start, it can hardly be started using a jump starter commonly used by the towing fleet.
  • This service excludes the cars for which a jump start is not recommended by the original manufacturer, e.g., “Benz” and “BMW”, in which case the car in trouble will be towed under assistance to a servicing center lest it is damaged (towing service is not applicable to rear-wheel drive cars or the cars whose gear is stuck in Park and wouldn’t shift out to Neutral.)
  • Roadside assistance service providers do not repair cars; customers are advised to have their car examined and fixed at a servicing center as soon as possible.

Fuel and coolant water delivery service

  • In case of a cruising car running out of water in its radiator or fuel in its fuel tank, delivery of coolant water or fuel is provided free of charge.
    ※ Fuel fees will be charged to the car owner against the uniform invoice issued by the gas station.
  • This service excludes diesel cars, which, when running out of fuel, let in air into jet pump tubes, in which case the diesel engine need be bled to start. Therefore, the cars must be towed to a servicing center.

Replacement of tires

  • In case a flat tire stalls a car or makes cruising dangerous, complimentary service, including replacing one flat tire with a spare tire and inflating under-inflated spare tire, will be provided.
    ※ The car owner shall prepare the spare tire and the tools required for tire replacement.
  • The Freeway Bureau specifies the following: Emergency repair of a car on freeways is prohibited outright.

Service process

Step1

Please register your car license plate number (which will become effective in three business days) at “Registration and Inquiry” on the website.

※ Do not enter “-” in the license plate number field, e.g., ABC1234

Step2

To request service in case of vehicle failure, please contract SINGAN roadside assistance service center at 0800-011-885.

You must provide the following information:
(1) Car license plate number;(2) National Identification Number;(3) credit card account number; (4) name;
(5) car brand and model;(6) car color;(7) failure cause;and (8) car location

Step3

Service vehicles will be dispatched immediately after a SINGAN customer service agent has confirmed the information with you.

Step4

Roadside assistance service will be provided upon arrival of a rescue vehicle at the sight of an E. SUN credit card.

※ Service will provided on-site principally to an eligible card, identified car, and identified person.

Freeway Services

Freeways / expressways roadside assistance at a glance

  • If a car registered by a cardholder breaks down or runs into an accident on freeways, the cardholder must reach out to SINGAN roadside assistance service center at 0800-011-885 in the first place. Out of safety considerations or under emergency circumstance, towing service may be provided by a licensed towing company partnering with the Freeway Bureau, and refunds may be requested from SINGAN thereafter.
  • Before your car is towed away, please immediately report the towing through the roadside assistance service hotline at 0800-011-885 lest your personal rights or interests are impairment. The service agent will inform you of the operating procedures.
  • Starting from January 1, 2020, the Freeway Bureau launched the rates for towing of low-slung cars or luxurious cars on freeways / expressways. E.SUN members enjoy a minimum towing charge of NT$1,500 for the first 50 km, and must bear additional charge for the distance in excess of 50 km.

  • When using this service on freeways, regardless of whether it is necessary to use the flatbed towing service, the cardholder needs to pay additional charges, which are NT$1,800 for category 1 operation and NT$900 for category 2 operation as specified in the “Freeway Car Towing Service Musts and Must-nots and Rates” promulgated by the Freeway Bureau. Such charges are not covered by this service and therefore will not be refunded. Nonetheless, the portion of towing fee within the scope of the cardholder's benefits will be refunded.
  • According to the regulations of the Freeway Bureau, emergency repair on freeways is banned outright, and only towing is allowed. The distance in excess will be charged NT$50 per km.
  • Instructions for applying for refunds of charges for towing on freeways: Charges for services provided by other licensed roadside assistance service providers for a car registered by a cardholder may be paid by the cardholder first. However, the cardholder must report the situation to SINGAN roadside assistance service center through its hotline at 0800-011-885; thereafter, the cardholder must mail (a) the freeway towing service contract in triplicate, (b) the triplicate uniform invoice bearing the title “Xiangshuo Industrial Co., Ltd.” and the tax code “16784078”, and (c) a photocopy of passbook cover within one week counting from the date of breakdown or accident, to the following: 10th Floor, No. 3, Section 3, Zhongxing Road, Xindian District, New Taipei City 231, Attention: The Accounting Section (application to SINGAN for refunds).
  • Application for refunds is not allowed afterwards if the towing service is provided by an unlicensed towing truck or the towing is not reported through the roadside assistance service hotline at 0800-011-885.
  • Licensed towing trucks:A licensed towing truck is a truck whose front side bears the text “Freeway Bureau Participating Towing Vehicle” along with five Arabic numerals; whose front windshield is stuck with a towing service certificate bearing the Freeway Bureau’s plum blossom symbol; and whose near-side and off-side bear the printed text “Freeway Bureau Participating Towing Vehicle”.

Service Terms and Conditions

※ For customers holding multiple cards, the service content applicable for the vehicle registration or use of free benefits will be determined based on the preferential terms of the highest-level card.

※ The same vehicle number cannot be registered by two different cardholders at the same time to combine the free roadside assistance mileage benefits.

※ Motorcycles (including light, heavy, electric, and specialized motorcycles) are not eligible for free roadside assistance services.

※ Customers who have not yet received their card or have not registered their vehicle number in advance will not be able to use the free roadside assistance service. If your credit card has been suspended or reissued, please re-register your vehicle number. The vehicle number will take effect after 3 business days after registration.
